Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how The Cusp collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our Services, and the rights you have. It applies to users worldwide, with specific sections for the EEA/UK and the United States below.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide (such as your name, email, and account details), information needed to build and host your site (content you submit and site configuration), payment information processed by our payment provider, and technical data such as log, device, and usage information.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and improve the Services, authenticate you, build and host your sites, process payments, communicate with you, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations.
Support chat
If you use the support chat on our website, we store the messages you send and the assistant’s replies so we can improve our help content and answer common questions better. Each conversation is kept for 180 days and then deleted.
These records are not linked to your account, your email address, or your IP address — a conversation is identified only by a random session identifier that your browser discards when you close the tab. Please don’t type passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information into the chat.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Services), consent (for example, non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations.
International transfers
We may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers out of the EEA/UK.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights in the EEA and UK
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@thecusp.ai.
Your rights in the United States
Depending on your state (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws in other states), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” and certain targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@thecusp.ai.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
